About the Role
Our client, a dynamic events venue in Stoke-on-Trent , is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to support their Events Manager. This role is essential for the smooth execution of a wide range of events, from corporate functions to private celebrations. You will assist in all aspects of event planning and on-site management, ensuring that every event runs seamlessly and meets client expectations. This is an excellent entry point into event management for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences, contributing to the venue's reputation as a leading event space in Staffordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of various events, including weddings, conferences, and parties.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements and ensure all details are captured accurately.
- Liaise with internal departments (catering, AV, facilities) and external suppliers to confirm arrangements.
- Prepare event schedules, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to deadlines and financial parameters.
- Provide on-site support during events, troubleshooting any issues that may arise and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Manage event logistics, including room setup, seating arrangements, and technical requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or a related hospitality role is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities in event management in Stoke-on-Trent .
