Event Manager - Sports & Entertainment

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and creative Event Manager specializing in Sports & Entertainment events for their Leeds -based operations. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and post-event analysis of a diverse range of events, from major sporting competitions to engaging entertainment shows. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong vendor management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, ensuring seamless and memorable experiences for attendees, stakeholders, and participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, logistics, venue selection, and supplier negotiation.
• Develop comprehensive event timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines and project milestones.
• Oversee on-site event execution, including setup, staffing, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials and strategies.
• Manage relationships with clients, sponsors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure event success.
• Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare detailed reports for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, with a focus on sports and entertainment.
• Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting and timeline management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
