About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and organized Event Planning Assistant to support their event management team in Reading , with the flexibility of a remote-first approach. You will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of corporate and private events. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced events industry, working closely with senior planners on diverse projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the logistical planning of events, including venue research, vendor sourcing, and scheduling.
- Support the event team with administrative tasks, such as creating event timelines, managing RSVPs, and preparing event materials.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all event details are confirmed and executed.
- Provide on-site support during events as required, assisting with setup, guest management, and troubleshooting.
- Help manage event budgets, track expenses, and assist with post-event reconciliation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote and/or on-site setting.
