Events Coordinator - Charity

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic charity organisation, is seeking an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join their fundraising team. This role will be pivotal in planning, organising, and executing a variety of fundraising events, from small community gatherings to larger-scale campaigns. You will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless event delivery, maximising engagement and income generation. This position offers a blend of remote work flexibility and in-person collaboration, allowing you to contribute to critical fundraising efforts for a cause you believe in, based in or near Newcastle upon Tyne .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, budget, and execute diverse fundraising events, ensuring they align with the charity's objectives.
• Manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, supplier liaison, and on-site coordination.
• Develop engaging marketing and promotional materials for events to drive attendance and participation.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote events across various platforms.
• Engage with sponsors, donors, and volunteers before, during, and after events.
• Evaluate event success through feedback and financial reporting, providing insights for future improvements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in event management or coordination, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in budget management and financial tracking for events.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, managing a hybrid work schedule.
