Events Coordinator - Charity

About the Role

Our client, a respected charity with a mission to (Specific Cause, e.g., provide support services), is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organized Events Coordinator to join their team in Southampton . This role is central to the planning, execution, and management of a diverse range of fundraising and awareness events. You will be responsible for ensuring that all events run smoothly, achieve their objectives, and provide an excellent experience for attendees and supporters. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about event management within the non-profit sector, looking to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, budget, and manage all aspects of charity events, including galas, sponsored walks, and community gatherings.
• Source and liaise with venues, suppliers, and contractors to ensure successful event delivery.
• Coordinate event logistics, including invitations, registration, staffing, and on-site management.
• Develop promotional materials and marketing strategies for events.
• Manage event budgets and track income and expenditure.
• Provide post-event analysis and reports on success metrics.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event planning and management , ideally within the charity sector.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
