About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Edinburgh , focusing on the planning and execution of major sports events. You will manage all logistical aspects of events, from initial concept to post-event analysis, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional attendee experiences. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders, including sponsors, vendors, and volunteers. The position operates on a hybrid model, offering a blend of remote planning and on-site event management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all logistical elements of sports events, including venue selection, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Liaise with sponsors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure event objectives are met.
- Manage event registration, ticketing, and attendee communication.
- Oversee on-site event operations, including setup, staffing, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and manage event timelines and critical path schedules.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and report on key performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within the sports industry.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and communication tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and adapt to varied work locations.
