About the Role
Our client, a renowned charity dedicated to medical research, requires a meticulous and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to manage their fundraising events in Portsmouth . This role is central to planning and executing a diverse range of events, from large-scale galas to community-focused sponsored walks, ensuring successful fundraising outcomes and positive participant experiences. You will be instrumental in raising vital funds and awareness for groundbreaking research, working closely with volunteers and stakeholders to bring events to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of fundraising events in Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
- Manage event budgets, supplier relationships, and logistical arrangements.
- Promote events and drive ticket sales and participation.
- Liaise with internal teams, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees and sponsors.
- Conduct post-event evaluation, including financial reconciliation and feedback analysis.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination, ideally within the charity sector.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
