Events Fundraising Officer - Remote

About the Role

Our client, a respected organisation in the Charity & Voluntary sector, is seeking a creative and organised Events Fundraising Officer to join their team. This is a fully remote position, ideal for someone passionate about event planning and fundraising who thrives in a flexible work environment. You will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing a variety of fundraising events, both virtual and in-person (when appropriate), aimed at generating income and raising the profile of the organisation. You will work to ensure events are engaging, successful, and deliver maximum financial return, contributing significantly to the continuation of our client's vital work. This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of engaging supporters and driving charitable giving.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and manage all aspects of fundraising events, from small donor receptions to larger-scale galas.
• Develop innovative event concepts that appeal to diverse audiences and maximise fundraising potential.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, supplier management, marketing, and volunteer coordination.
• Engage with and steward event attendees and sponsors, building strong relationships.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and drive ticket sales/participation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event planning and management, with a strong focus on fundraising events.
• Experience within the Charity & Voluntary sector is a significant advantage.
• Excellent organisational, project management, and time-management skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
