About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly creative and skilled Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations for their renowned restaurant in Birmingham . You will be responsible for conceptualizing innovative menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute innovative, seasonal menus that align with the restaurant's brand and guest expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of creativity and teamwork.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory management, food costing, and waste reduction.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with the F&B Manager to control food costs and optimize profitability.
- Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews for kitchen staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 3 years in an Executive Chef or Head Chef role.
- Demonstrated expertise in menu development, fine dining, and diverse culinary techniques.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and maintain high-quality standards under pressure.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
