North Leeds

£120 to £130 per day Full-time and Part-time opportunities available Immediate roles available

Thinking about a career in education? Already experienced working with young people and ready for your next challenge?

We’re working with a number of welcoming secondary schools across North Leeds, particularly in the LS17 area, who are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to join their teams. These schools are known for their supportive staff culture, strong behaviour systems, and commitment to helping both students and staff thrive.

This is a brilliant opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or experienced classroom support staff looking to gain valuable school-based experience. No two days are ever the same, and you’ll play a key role in keeping learning on track when teachers are absent.

What does the role involve? You’ll be:

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-set work provided by teaching staff
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged in learning
• Supporting students to complete tasks and maintain a positive learning environment
• Building strong relationships with students and school staff
• Gaining hands-on classroom experience within supportive secondary schools

Why schools love working with Cover Supervisors: ✅ Variety, every day looks different ✅ Great experience for anyone considering teacher training ✅ Opportunity to build confidence in classroom management ✅ Flexible opportunities to suit your schedule ✅ Supportive school environments with welcoming staff teams ✅ Chance to develop transferable skills and progress within education

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with young people, in schools, coaching, tutoring, youth work or similar
• Confident communication and the ability to lead a classroom
• A calm, adaptable, and proactive attitude
• A genuine interest in supporting students and education
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are strongly encouraged to apply

Whether you’re looking to gain experience before teacher training or simply want a rewarding role where no day stands still, Cover Supervision could be the perfect fit ✨
