Exploration Geologist - Mining

About the Role

This role is crucial for identifying and evaluating new mineral resources, utilizing cutting-edge geological techniques and data analysis. You will be responsible for planning and executing exploration programs, interpreting geological data, and contributing to the overall success of the company's resource acquisition strategy. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and supervise geological field programs, including drilling, sampling, and mapping.
• Analyze and interpret geological data from various sources, including geophysical surveys and core samples.
• Utilize geological modeling software to delineate mineral resources and guide exploration targeting.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with mining engineers and other geoscientists to assess project viability.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental protocols during field operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related earth science discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in mineral exploration geology , preferably within the mining sector.
• Proficiency with geological software packages (e.g., Leapfrog, ArcGIS, MapInfo).
• Experience with various exploration techniques, including core logging and geochemical analysis.
• Strong understanding of deposit models and structural geology.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
