Geologist - Mining Exploration

About the Role

This role is critical in identifying and evaluating new mineral resource opportunities, utilizing advanced geological techniques and data analysis. You will be responsible for mapping, sampling, and interpreting geological data to define potential mining sites and guide exploration efforts. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping, prospecting, and sampling campaigns in diverse terrains.
• Interpret subsurface geological structures using seismic, well log, and core data.
• Analyze rock and soil samples for mineral content and grade using various laboratory techniques.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, maps, and cross-sections for exploration projects.
• Collaborate with geophysicists and geochemists to integrate data and refine exploration models.
• Utilize GIS and specialized software for data visualization and resource estimation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in mineral exploration geology, with a focus on economic geology .
• Proficiency in geological mapping, structural analysis, and field techniques.
• Experience with geological software packages (e.g., ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Vulcan).
• Strong understanding of deposit types relevant to the company's exploration targets.
• Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills.
