This role is ideal for someone dedicated to nurturing and supporting early years education, combining general EYFS support with targeted 1:1 assistance for a preschool child with additional needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  EYFS Support (10 Hours Per Week):

• Assist the class teacher and EYFS team in delivering engaging learning activities.
  
• Support children’s learning and development through both adult-led and child-initiated activities.
  
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
  
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  
• Observe and support children's progress and contribute to developmental records.
  
• Assist with preparing resources and learning environments for indoor and outdoor activities.
  

1:1 Child Support (Approximately 5 Hours Per Week):

Provide consistent and individualised support tailored to the child’s specific needs.

Support communication, engagement, and participation in learning activities.

Assist with personal care and physical needs as required.

Help the child access the curriculum and integrate successfully into preschool activities.

Implement support strategies and targets agreed by the school and external professionals.

Build a positive, nurturing, and trusting relationship with the child and their family.

Additional Duties:

Provide support within Key Stage 1 (KS1) when required.

Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all children.
