Location: WS3 Start Date: November 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the WS3 area for an experienced EYFS Teacher to join their team from November on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Early Years practitioner who is committed to creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children during the crucial early stages of their education.

The Role You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years curriculum Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities Monitoring and assessing pupil progress Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Encouraging children's confidence, independence, and curiosity Working collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupilsThe Ideal Candidate: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has recent and substantial experience teaching within EYFS Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Early Years Framework Creates engaging and inspiring learning opportunities Is nurturing, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting every child Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Works effectively as part of a teamWhat We Offer: Competitive rates of pay Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement Opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming school Full-time, long-term opportunity Rewarding role supporting children at the start of their educational journeyThis position is suitable for experienced EYFS teachers only and is available from November as a full-time maternity cover role.
