ABOUT THE ROLE
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools and Early Years settings across Bristol.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS
Location: Bristol
Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Rate of Pay: £110 per day
Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Contract Types: Ad-hoc, Short-Term, Long-Term, and Temp-to-Perm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience working with children within an EYFS, nursery, preschool, or primary school setting
- Good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework
- Ability to support learning through play and child-led activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- Commitment to supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare/Early Years Qualification
- Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Training can be provided where required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting children in Nursery and Reception classes
- Assisting the class teacher with daily learning activities
- Encouraging children's social, emotional, and educational development
- Supporting children through structured learning and play-based activities
- Assisting with observations and assessments where required
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting children with additional needs where necessary
- Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Child Barred List Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
- Provide two professional references covering the last two years
- Have relevant experience working with children
