CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bristol

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Rate of Pay: £110 per day

Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

Contract Types: Ad-hoc, Short-Term, Long-Term, and Temp-to-Perm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working with children within an EYFS, nursery, preschool, or primary school setting
• Good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework
• Ability to support learning through play and child-led activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
• Commitment to supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare/Early Years Qualification
• Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• Training can be provided where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting children in Nursery and Reception classes
• Assisting the class teacher with daily learning activities
• Encouraging children's social, emotional, and educational development
• Supporting children through structured learning and play-based activities
• Assisting with observations and assessments where required
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting children with additional needs where necessary
• Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Child Barred List Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years
• Have relevant experience working with children
