£30,000 – £35,000 + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime

We are looking for an experienced Fabric Engineer / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing maintenance team, carrying out reactive and planned building maintenance across commercial sites.

This is a mobile position covering Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas, offering door-to-door travel pay, a company van and plenty of opportunity to increase earnings through overtime and call-out.

The Role

As a Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Reactive building and fabric maintenance

*

Joinery and carpentry repairs

*

Basic plumbing and general maintenance

*

Minor electrical works where competent

*

Doors, locks, fixtures and fittings

*

Small works and minor projects

*

Fault finding and identifying remedial works

*

Managing jobs across multiple customer sites

*

Completing job sheets and maintenance reports

*

Liaising directly with customers and site contacts

What We're Looking For

We'd like to hear from candidates with experience as a:

Fabric Engineer | Maintenance Engineer | Multi-Skilled Engineer | Fabric Technician | Maintenance Operative | Building Maintenance Engineer | Handyman

You should have:

*

Previous FM, facilities or building maintenance experience

*

Good all-round fabric maintenance skills

*

Joinery/carpentry experience

*

Basic plumbing and general repair experience

*

Basic electrical knowledge would be beneficial

*

Experience working independently across multiple sites

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Flexibility towards overtime and call-out when required

Formal trade qualifications aren't essential if you have strong, time-served building maintenance experience.

Salary & Package

£30,000 – £35,000 basic salary

Door-to-door travel pay

£50 on-call payment + overtime at 1.5x
