Facilities Cleaning Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Cleaning Manager to oversee all cleaning operations across their sites in Cambridge . This leadership role requires strategic planning, team management, and a deep understanding of cleaning best practices to ensure a consistently high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing cleaning schedules, managing budgets, training staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This is a key position for maintaining the operational integrity and positive image of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive cleaning programs and schedules for multiple sites.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff, conducting performance reviews and providing ongoing support.
• Manage cleaning budgets, including procurement of supplies, equipment, and services.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including COSHH.
• Liaise with facility managers and stakeholders to address cleaning needs and provide service reports.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in facilities management or cleaning services management.
• Proven track record in team leadership and staff supervision.
• Strong understanding of cleaning methodologies, chemicals, equipment, and health and safety legislation.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and budgeting skills.
• Ability to problem-solve effectively and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in relevant software for scheduling and reporting.
