Salary: £35,000–£45,000 DOE (qualifications and experience essential to reach maximum salary)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (40 hours per week)

Our client, a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business based in Minworth, is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a facilities professional looking to take ownership of site infrastructure, utilities and building services within a specialist manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and remains fully compliant with statutory requirements.
The Role
As Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of the site’s buildings, utilities and infrastructure. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you’ll coordinate contractors, manage facilities projects and help ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance of building services, including electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of site buildings and infrastructure.
- Manage external contractors and service providers, including reviewing RAMS and issuing permits to work.
- Deliver facilities projects, refurbishments and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure statutory inspections, compliance and certification are completed and maintained.
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets while controlling expenditure.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
- Support production by ensuring facilities and utilities remain reliable and operational.
- Carry out risk assessments and manage permit-to-work activities.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- A qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or Facilities Engineering, supported by relevant practical experience.
- Previous experience managing facilities within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of building services, maintenance and infrastructure management.
- Experience managing contractors and facilities-related projects.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and statutory compliance.
- Budget management experience.
