About the Role
Our client requires a proactive and versatile Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support their operations in Bradford . This role is integral to ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, from routine cleaning to minor repairs and site upkeep, contributing significantly to a well-managed and pleasant environment for employees and visitors in Bradford . This is an ideal position for someone with a hands-on approach and a broad skill set in facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine cleaning duties in all areas of the facility, including offices, washrooms, and common spaces.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, or assembling furniture.
- Assist with the upkeep of grounds and exterior areas, including litter picking and basic landscaping.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment, reporting needs for replenishment.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during all maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Respond to facility-related requests and issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a facilities maintenance or cleaning role.
- Basic practical skills in maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and health and safety standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks effectively.
- Good physical condition to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and manual work.
