Salary: £60,000 + £5.8k Car Allowance | Monday to Friday | Essex

We’re hiring for a Facilities Manager to oversee the full facilities management operation across a busy production and manufacturing site.

The Facilities Manager will take ownership of the TFM operation, overseeing engineering, cleaning, post room and wider service delivery, whilst acting as a key point of contact for the client and ensuring KPIs, SLAs, compliance and service standards are consistently delivered.

This is a great opportunity for a Facilities Manager with a strong mechanical or electrical engineering background and proven experience managing people across a TFM environment. The role is highly client-facing and requires a confident, assertive manager who can also lead with an approachable and empathetic style.

Responsibilities for a Facilities Manager

• Overseeing the full TFM operation across the site, excluding security

• Managing and developing engineering, cleaning, post room and wider operational teams

• Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders

• Ensuring contractual KPIs, SLAs, H&S and service standards are consistently achieved

• Managing budgets, costs and operational performance

• Overseeing subcontractors and supply chain partners

• Driving continuous improvement and maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements

• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with solid technical knowledge

• Proven experience managing a TFM or multi-service facilities operation

• Strong people management experience, including developing and mentoring teams

• Confident and experienced in a highly client-facing environment

• Good understanding of SLAs, KPIs, budgets and commercial performance

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and facilities management compliance
