About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Family Support Advisor to join their team in Nottingham . This hybrid role involves providing crucial support to families, addressing a range of issues from parenting challenges to accessing community resources, with a blend of remote consultations and in-person visits. You will empower families to build resilience, improve their well-being, and enhance their relationships. This is a vital role within the Community & Social Care sector, offering the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on family units and their development within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to families facing various challenges, including parenting, relationships, and access to services.
- Conduct home visits and assessments to understand family dynamics and needs.
- Develop and implement tailored family support plans in collaboration with families.
- Connect families with relevant community resources, agencies, and support networks.
- Offer emotional support and practical advice, fostering positive changes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records and contribute to team meetings.
Requirements
- Experience working with families in a support , social work, or community development role.
- Understanding of child development, family dynamics, and safeguarding principles.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and empathy skills.
- Ability to work effectively both remotely and in the field, managing your own schedule.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for case management and communication.
- Relevant qualifications in social care, psychology, counselling, or a related field are desirable.
