About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Family Support Worker to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is focused on providing essential support to families facing various challenges, aiming to improve child welfare and family functioning. You will work collaboratively with families, offering practical assistance, guidance, and a supportive presence. This hybrid position allows for meaningful in-person engagement with families in their homes and communities, while also offering flexibility for administrative tasks, planning, and remote coordination. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to assess family needs and identify areas for support.
• Develop and implement tailored family support plans in collaboration with families and relevant professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a family support , social care, or related field.
• Good understanding of child development, family dynamics, and safeguarding principles.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and communication.
• Willingness to travel within the Edinburgh area and work flexibly as needed.
