About the Role

Our client is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Farm Data Analyst to support their farming operations in the Oxford area. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and analyzing vast amounts of agricultural data, including crop yields, soil conditions, weather patterns, and operational costs. Your insights will be crucial in optimizing farm management strategies, improving efficiency, and enhancing profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background, experience with data analysis tools, and a good understanding of agricultural principles. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources, including sensors, farm equipment, and manual records.
• Analyze agricultural data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations related to crop performance and operational efficiency.
• Develop reports and visualizations to communicate key findings to farm management and stakeholders.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for optimizing crop planting, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control strategies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for farm operations and track progress towards goals.
• Assist in the implementation and management of farm management information systems (FMIS).
• Stay current with advancements in agricultural data analytics and related technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in data analysis, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SQL) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of agricultural principles, crop science, and farm operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
