About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to oversee operations at their state-of-the-art agricultural facility in Leicester . This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of daily farming activities, ensuring optimal crop yields and livestock health. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for crop rotation, planting, and harvesting to maximize yield and quality.
- Oversee daily operations, including livestock care, feeding programs, and herd health management.
- Manage and maintain farm equipment, machinery, and infrastructure, ensuring operational readiness and safety.
- Supervise and train farm staff, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in farm management or a similar agricultural leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of modern farming techniques, crop science, and livestock management.
- Experience with agricultural machinery operation and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with UK agricultural regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field is preferred.
