About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Farm Surveyor to join their team, operating primarily in and around Reading . This role is essential for assessing land, property, and agricultural infrastructure for various purposes, including land management, development, and valuation. You will conduct on-site surveys, gather precise measurements, and prepare detailed reports that inform strategic decisions for landowners and agricultural businesses. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical surveying skills, an understanding of agricultural land use, and the ability to work meticulously in both field and office environments. This is a key role for someone looking to contribute to the effective management and development of agricultural assets in Berkshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys to measure boundaries, topography, and features.
- Assess the condition of farm buildings, infrastructure, and equipment.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, plans, and maps using specialized software.
- Advise on land management, rural property, and agricultural development opportunities.
- Assist in the valuation of agricultural land and properties.
- Ensure compliance with relevant surveying standards and regulations.
- Liaise with landowners, solicitors, and other professionals as required.
Requirements
- Experience as a land surveyor, agricultural surveyor, or a closely related role.
- Proficiency with surveying equipment (e.g., Total Stations, GPS receivers) and CAD software.
- Understanding of agricultural land use, farming practices, and rural property.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report-writing and communication abilities.
- A relevant qualification in Surveying, Land Management, or a related discipline is required.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various farm sites.
