About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Farm Mechanic to join their agricultural enterprise in Reading, Berkshire . You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of agricultural vehicles and implements. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on tractors, harvesters, and other farm machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with farm equipment.
• Conduct pre-season inspections and prepare machinery for planting and harvesting operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Assist with the setup and operation of new equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanic, with specific experience on agricultural machinery highly preferred.
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency in using workshop tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different farm sites if required.
