About the Role

Our client seeks a diligent Fiber Optic Technician to join their expanding operations in Coventry . This hands-on role is crucial for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks, ensuring reliable connectivity for our customers. You will be responsible for working with cutting-edge technology in diverse environments, from underground installations to aerial deployments. Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and splice fiber optic cables according to industry standards and company specifications.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks using OTDRs and other specialized equipment.
• Identify, diagnose, and repair faults within the fiber optic infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and site details.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing techniques.
• Experience with OTDR, light meters, and other fiber optic test equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and documentation.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for working with fiber optics and in various environmental conditions.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different work sites within the Coventry area.
