This hands-on role is critical for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks that are the backbone of modern telecommunications. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and performance of the fiber infrastructure, working on-site to connect customers and maintain service quality. Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables in various environments, including underground and aerial installations.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic tests on fiber optic networks to identify and resolve faults.
• Operate and maintain specialized fiber optic testing equipment, such as OTDRs and fusion splicers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to accurately complete installations and repairs.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repairs to restore connectivity in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing techniques.
• Familiarity with various types of fiber optic cable and connectors.
• Ability to work effectively at heights and in confined spaces when required.
• Valid UK driving license and a commitment to working on-site in and around Coventry .
