Field Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Field Installation Technician to join their team, supporting customers across the Bristol, South West England region. This role involves traveling to client sites to install, configure, and test a variety of specialized equipment. You will be the primary point of contact for clients during the installation process, ensuring their satisfaction and providing necessary guidance. This position requires a practical mindset, strong technical aptitude, and a commitment to excellent customer service within the Installation & Maintenance domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site installations of equipment and systems according to project plans and technical specifications.
• Perform system configuration, calibration, and initial testing post-installation.
• Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide clear instructions and basic training to end-users on system operation.
• Maintain detailed records of installations performed, parts used, and any encountered challenges.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations at client sites.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar installation or field service role.
• Proficiency with relevant tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and installation guides.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Bristol area and surrounding regions.
