Field Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Field Installation Technician to join their dynamic team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for ensuring the successful on-site installation, setup, and initial configuration of our specialized equipment at client premises. You will be the face of our company to many customers, providing a high level of service and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations of equipment according to project specifications and technical manuals.
• Conduct initial testing and commissioning of newly installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Provide basic user training and guidance to clients on equipment operation post-installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, including sign-offs and any deviations from the plan.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company standards during all site activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a field service or installation role, preferably within the B2B sector.
• Strong practical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be prepared for regular travel within the designated region.
