About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Field Installation Technician to join their team, covering the Reading and Berkshire areas. This role is focused on the precise on-site installation and setup of specialised equipment, ensuring functionality and adherence to high-quality standards. You will work directly with clients, providing essential technical services and support. This hybrid role allows for flexibility, blending essential field visits with potential for remote administrative tasks or planning, making it suitable for a proactive individual in the Installation & Maintenance sector who values both practical application and organised workflow, serving clients throughout Berkshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and commission equipment and systems at customer premises according to technical specifications.
- Perform thorough testing and validation checks post-installation to guarantee performance.
- Diagnose and resolve any immediate issues encountered during the installation process.
- Provide clear instructions to clients on basic operation and care of the installed equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete installation reports promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and site-specific regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a technical installation or field service role.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
- Valid UK driving license and availability for on-site work in the Reading area.
