About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Field Maintenance Engineer to join their Installation & Maintenance team in Reading . This hybrid role involves both on-site work at customer locations across Berkshire and surrounding areas, and time spent at a local facility for planning and administrative tasks. You will play a key role in the professional installation of our client's products and ensuring their long-term operational efficiency through proactive maintenance. Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional installations of equipment and systems according to detailed specifications.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, performing effective repairs on-site.
• Complete comprehensive site surveys and risk assessments prior to installation work.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, including actions taken and parts used.
• Collaborate with the central support team to share insights and address complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Experience in a field service, installation , or maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and various hand/power tools.
• A valid UK driving license and a flexible approach to travel within the designated region.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously on-site.
