Field Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Field Maintenance Technician to join their team, serving clients primarily in the Plymouth, Devon area. This role involves traveling to customer sites to perform essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of equipment. You will be a key point of contact for clients requiring technical support, ensuring their systems operate reliably. This position within the Installation & Maintenance sector offers a blend of hands-on work and client interaction, with flexible hybrid working arrangements available to support effective service delivery across Plymouth and its environs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on client equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on-site.
• Install and commission new equipment as required.
• Provide first-line technical support and advice to customers.
• Complete service reports accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to industry standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a maintenance technician or field service role, with a background in Installation & Maintenance .
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and basic electrical principles.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Capability to work independently and manage schedules efficiently.
• A full UK driving license is required, along with willingness to travel across the Plymouth region.
