Field Service Engineer - HVAC Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment , including boilers, chillers, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to ensure system reliability and identify potential issues before they cause failures.
• Perform diagnostic tests and use specialized tools to identify mechanical and electrical faults within complex systems.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals to ensure accurate installation and repair work.
• Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job using company software.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or Field Service Engineer.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical principles related to HVAC.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools specific to the trade.
• Valid UK driver's license and a clean driving record for site visits.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused attitude.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in HVAC engineering or a related field are highly desirable.
