About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer specializing in Industrial Machinery to join their team in Plymouth . This critical role involves traveling to customer sites to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of industrial equipment. You will be the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring their machinery operates at peak performance and minimizing downtime. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer to provide essential technical support and expertise across the Devon region, contributing directly to client satisfaction and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service industrial machinery at customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption.
• Conduct training for customer personnel on the operation and maintenance of machinery.
• Maintain detailed service reports, documenting all work performed and parts used.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar technical role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel extensively within the Plymouth area and surrounding regions.
