Field Service Engineer – North West
Location: North West
Salary: £26,000 - £36,000 per annum + Benefits
An established engineering business is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong mechanical and electrical skills to join a growing service team.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a range of industrial equipment at customer sites, ensuring excellent levels of customer service while working independently throughout your designated region.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Install, commission and test industrial equipment.
- Complete service reports and relevant documentation.
- Build strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
- Manage your own workload and travel efficiently across the North West.
About You
You’ll ideally have experience as a Field Service Engineer or Service Engineer with a strong electromechanical background.
Experience from any of the following industries would be welcomed:
- Industrial weighing equipment
- Materials handling
- Manufacturing machinery
- Industrial automation
- Packaging machinery
- Food processing equipment
- General electromechanical field service
Essential Requirements
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Previous field service or maintenance engineering experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Previous experience within the industrial weighing sector would be advantageous but is not essential, as candidates with transferable engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
Salary: £26,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
