About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support and maintenance for their telecommunications equipment across the Leeds region. In this essential role, you will be the primary technical point of contact for our clients, ensuring the optimal performance and uptime of their critical communication systems. You will diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, perform installations, and conduct preventative maintenance, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and loyalty in a hands-on capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecom equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing timely and effective on-site solutions.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and identify potential problems before they impact service.
• Respond to emergency service calls and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed service reports, documenting all work performed and parts used.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role within the telecoms sector.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications hardware and software, including networking protocols.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in the field.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A valid UK driving license is essential for travel to client locations.
