About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their expanding installation and maintenance team. Based in Leicester , you will be responsible for the on-site installation, servicing, and repair of specialized equipment for a diverse range of commercial clients. This role is crucial for ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining the high standards of service that our client is known for, working independently across various customer locations and acting as a key technical representative.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and test new equipment at client sites across the Leicester region and surrounding areas.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and preventative repairs on existing installations to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and parts used, utilizing company reporting systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical installation and repair role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and potentially electronic systems relevant to the industry.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage your own schedule, and travel effectively within the designated service area.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
