About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dedicated installation and maintenance team, serving the Leicester area. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, servicing, and repair of various equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. You will work independently, managing your schedule and service calls to meet client needs across the region. This is a hands-on position for a proactive individual who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering high-quality technical support within a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain a range of technical equipment at customer premises.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, performing necessary repairs and replacements.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on work completed and parts used.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company procedures during all site visits.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar Field Service Engineer or technical installation role.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers.
• A valid UK driving license and the ability to travel regularly within the designated service area.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
