About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Aberdeen, Scotland . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role is critical to our operations, providing essential on-site support to a diverse client base across various industries. You will play a key part in maintaining our reputation for excellence and reliability, working independently and as part of a supportive technical department focused on problem-solving and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure new equipment according to technical specifications and client requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic checks, and preventative repairs on a range of machinery and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring they can operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and inventory of spare parts and tools, documenting all work performed.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies during all site visits and operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and potentially electronic systems relevant to the industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the designated service area.
