About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen, Scotland . This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of specialized equipment at client sites. You will be the primary technical point of contact, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on industrial machinery and systems.
- Diagnose technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Install, configure, and commission new equipment according to technical specifications and client requirements.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to client personnel.
- Maintain detailed service reports, including parts usage, labor hours, and technical findings.
- Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid UK driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Aberdeen region.
- Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in engineering disciplines.
