Field Service Technician (Midlands)
Location: Covering Birmingham to Sheffield
Salary: £40,000 + Overtime + Bonus (OTE £50,000+)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Technician to join a growing field service team covering the Midlands region. You will be responsible for the maintenance, fault finding, repair, and servicing of automated storage systems at customer sites.
The role is predominantly electrical, although a basic understanding of mechanical maintenance is required. You will work independently, providing a high standard of customer service while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical and mechanical fault finding, with a strong focus on electrical systems
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong customer relationships
Completing service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Working independently with minimal supervision
Supporting colleagues and assisting the wider engineering team when required
Ensuring PPE, tools, and equipment are maintained to company standards
Following all quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures
Requirements
NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent electrical/electronic qualification
Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering, or industrial environment
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
Experience working on 3-phase systems and 415V equipment
Ability to test and diagnose electrical control systems
Basic mechanical maintenance skills such as bearings, drives, sprockets, and general mechanical components (training provided where required)
Full UK Driving Licence

OTE: £50,000+

Door-to-door pay
Overtime paid at Time and a Half
Annual Bonus Scheme (typically around 10%, company performance dependent)

Call Out
Participation in a shared call-out rota with the wider UK engineering team (approximately 7 engineers nationwide) on an ad-hoc basis.
