Surelock McGill Group has been designing, manufacturing, and installing high performance door locking & bolting systems for over 60 years. As leaders in the field, securing the people who secure the country, we continue to see tremendous growth and we continue to expand our business. 247 National Limited, a Surelock McGill Group Company, provide a national call out service, planned preventative maintenance, security lock installations, and fire door inspections. With appropriate accreditation specialising towards national accounts, utilities, and government infrastructure worldwide. Due to continue growth we are now looking to recruit a number of Field Service Engineers across all of our locations.
Role Requirements
- Previous experience in a service type role would be useful and experience in one or more of the fields is not essential to the role as training is offered, but is highly desired:
- Locksmith, Joinery Experience, Basic Electrical competency, Welding Experience, Engineering Experience or Mechanical Engineer.
- Must be smart and well presented to represent our company well when in face-to-face meetings.
- Strong desire to learn and develop
- Strong worth ethic with a can-do attitude and approach
- Be a team player but ability to work alone on site
- Proactive and able to use your initiative
- Understand, and consider, the impact on the end customer and deliver high standards of performance
- Must have a full and valid driving license, a company van and tools will be provided
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and willing to work away with multiple days on site and extensive travel There may also be out of hours working and weekend work, if required by our clients.
Role Responsibilities
This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic person who has ambition to develop their career within our growing on-site service delivery business. The core role is to install, maintain and repair lock products across extensive ranges of sites in the UK, Europe, and occasional work worldwide.
Duties
- Installation, service, maintenance & repair of all locking systems from Surelock McGill, Tindall Engineering (MICO), and other manufacturer’s lock products and door sets.
- Represent the company when meeting clients as an engineer
- Provide written reports and feedback to the Office.
Please Note
- Given the sensitive nature of our clients, full security clearance is required, including a minimum DBS Clearance and the ability to achieve SC clearance.
- Full training will be provided on lock products, installation, and maintenance
