About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to serve clients throughout the Reading, Berkshire region. You will be responsible for performing installations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on-site. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission new equipment at customer premises, ensuring all specifications are met.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions efficiently, utilizing appropriate tools and technical knowledge.
• Provide clear technical assistance and support to clients regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service calls, work performed, and parts utilized.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and industry best practices during on-site operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar installation/maintenance role.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems pertinent to the industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• A valid UK driving license is required, with the willingness to travel extensively within the designated service area.
