About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and skilled Field Service Technician to support their operations in and around Plymouth . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment at client premises. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong diagnostic abilities, and excellent customer service skills. You will act as a vital link between the company and its customers, ensuring their equipment operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission new equipment at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed and parts utilized.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies and health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar installation and maintenance role.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics .
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
• A valid UK driving license is required for travel.
