About the Role

Our client is seeking a dependable and skilled Field Service Technician to join their operations team covering the Plymouth, Devon area. This role is essential for providing on-site support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for a diverse client base. You will be the face of the company at customer locations, diagnosing issues, performing necessary work, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites according to specifications.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software faults in a timely manner.
• Provide clear and concise technical support and basic training to customers.
• Maintain detailed service records, parts inventory, and submit reports promptly.
• Adhere to all company policies and health and safety regulations while on customer premises.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a field service or technical maintenance role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and ability to read technical documentation.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license and be comfortable with travel throughout the Plymouth region.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
