About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Field Telecoms Engineer to join their essential services team in Sunderland . This role involves hands-on work across various client sites, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems. You will be the face of the company on the ground, ensuring our clients receive reliable and high-quality service delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving in diverse environments and takes pride in their technical expertise and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission telecommunications equipment at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on-site.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls and completed work.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Engineer in the telecoms sector.
• Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of copper and fibre optics .
• Experience with splicing, termination, and testing of network cables.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel within the designated region.
