Finance Administrator (18 month FTC)

Finance Administrator | Trafford Park, Manchester | 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Full-Time | £27,000

We are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join an established international manufacturing business based in Trafford Park on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

The business is looking for someone who already has a grounding in finance administration but is also keen to learn. Training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop a broader understanding of the company's finance systems, processes and wider business operations.

The role is office-based, working 38hrs per week (including a fully paid lunch break).

Typical working hours are 8am – 4.15pm Mon – Thurs and 8am – 1pm on Fridays.

Working as part of the finance team and reporting directly to the Management Accountant, this is a varied position covering purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, reconciliations and general finance administration.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Process purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently

Raise and process purchase orders

Assist with ordering supplies for the business

Carry out credit control activities, including contacting customers regarding outstanding balances

The Person

We are looking for someone that is available to start at short notice (max 1 week) or immediately.  You will already have a finance background and practical experience of day-to-day finance administration, ideally covering areas such as purchase ledger or sales ledger.

You will be organised, accurate and methodical, with strong attention to detail and the ability to comfortably manage a variety of finance and administrative tasks.

A positive and flexible approach is important. The role would particularly suit someone who is interested in understanding how the wider business operates rather than simply focusing on their individual finance responsibilities.

You should be comfortable working as part of a team, willing to support colleagues when required and keen to develop your knowledge of different finance systems and processes.

This could be a particularly good opportunity for an experienced Finance Administrator, Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk or Sales Ledger Clerk looking to broaden their experience within an established manufacturing environment.

Full-time, 18-month fixed-term contract

Free onsite parking

Company pension

Life Insurance

25.5 days holiday plus the bank holidays (employees can take the holidays in hours if required for flexibility)

Training and support provided

Exposure to purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, and wider finance administration

Opportunity to develop knowledge across a broader range of finance and administrative systems and processes

An immediate start

If you have a good grounding in finance administration and are looking for a varied role where you can continue to develop your experience within an established business, we would be keen to hear from you.
