Finance Manager

Finance Manager Hampshire Hybrid - ideally 3 days per week in the office Permanent

An opportunity for a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and effective financial controls.

Working alongside the Director of Finance and Management Accountant, you will take ownership of month-end reporting, financial processes and team development within a varied role covering P&L, balance sheet and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee financial operations, policies and procedures. Manage month-end close, including general ledger, journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain the fixed asset register and manage revenue recognition and intercompany reconciliations. Support monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting. Manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity. Oversee statutory reporting, tax filings and quarterly VAT returns. Drive improvements to financial systems, controls and processes. Provide financial guidance to stakeholders and ensure accounting compliance. Support and develop the finance team. Manage grant and R&D claims alongside Group Tax and support annual audits.Key Skills & Experience:

Degree qualified. Strong understanding of VAT and financial reporting. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience managing financial processes and competing priorities.Desirable:

ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW qualification/finalist status, with relevant PQE. Other relevant accountancy qualifications will also be considered. Manufacturing or engineering experience. Knowledge of Syspro ERP and UK R&D tax legislation. Experience within a growing business operating across products and services.Interested?
