Financial Accountant (Part-Qualified)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a driven and part-qualified Financial Accountant to join their established finance department in Norwich . This role is designed to support the Financial Controller in managing the company's financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will be involved in key processes such as month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting audit activities. This is a prime opportunity for an individual looking to gain valuable experience and progress their accounting career within a respected organisation in Norfolk, based in Norwich .

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a solid understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Previous experience in a financial accounting or general accounting role is required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software packages.
• Excellent analytical skills and a meticulous approach to tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
